Michael Gustavson

Artist Michaels Gustavson’s work is very unique in that he uses the traditional process of raku and has expanded it by way of his own techniques. Gustavson emphasizes surface quality and texture in all of his works. Each wall piece is a glazed painting with fragmented edges that create both negative and positive space while his vessels have been stretched to paper-thin proportions after being hand-thrown on the wheel.
