Sandra Brue
Encouraged early to develop her artistic talent, Sandra Brue first received a large bar of Ivory soap and a single edged razor blade from her mom. Before she knew it , she was carving animals of all kinds. Why does Brue now carve dogs only? "I am intrigued by the close bond that exists between man and dog. All through history, dogs have held special places in culture, having certain jobs, and even evolving as the society did" Brue herself owns a Mastif and knows the wonderful idiosyncracies on most breeds, as there are few she has not sculpted.
