In the last few years Joe joined his wife Marlys in her sculpture studio The one of a kind animal sculptures they create are greatly influenced by my years of illustrating for the children‘s market. They combine a touch of whimsy with a bit of reality. Nature is important part of their life and art. Line, texture, form and design combined with a little whimsy Is a hallmark of their work. Their pieces are created from high fire stoneware clay. They sometimes use metal and other elements to attain the desired results.
