Nicholas Bernard

Bernards current body of work deals with classical forms and their manipulation. Special attention is paid to proportion, length, thickness of the neck, and the placement of size and negative space generated by the handles. The addition of texture using heavy slip after throwing and the application of colored slips and oxides through several firings complete the process.
